Hello, Hello

Night Noises

Khadijah's Preschool Exam

Ha...ha...to tell you the truth, I was quite worried with Khadijah's preschool exam result. Knowing her to be quite careless in her previous exams, I am quite surprise with her results!!! Surprise, surprise and alhamdulillah, she has done quite well in her exams. The ones she got wrong were the ones she really did not know. She got 100% for Math 1, 99% for Math 2, 98% for English and 94% for BM. She managed to get 50% for her Chinese...not bad considering that she just started to learn this language 5 months ago.
It was only preschool exam....don't be stressful...lah! Remembering my school days, always trying to achieve the best....was really quite stressful. I hope I would not 'stress' my daughter! Anyway, having achieved all these best students awards did not really make me much better as a person....

KL n Lancang Trip

Just came back from KL for the ICID congress at KLCC. I brought along my family to visit my sister who had just moved to her own new house. We stayed at Impiana Hotel which is within walking distance to KLCC. For the first 3 days I was busy with my course. However I managed to bring my daughter to KLCC park in between my free time. She had a good time there enjoying the water!
We didn't go to aquaria and petrosains since we have already visited them quite some time ago.

Khadijah at the hotel's 1.5m deep swimming pool.

We visited my sister on Sunday and spent a night there. On our way back to Kuantan, we stopped at Lancang to visit the Kuala Gandah Elephant Sanctuary. Unfortunately for us the elephant riding, feeding and bathing sessions are only in the afternoon. However, we managed to see some elephants. Afterward, we stopped by at Deerland Park. It was certainly the best part of our trip and the best visit we have so far from all our visits to animal farm and zoos. Here, we can get up close with the animal feeding them and stroking them. However, Khadijah missed the chance since she was so afraid of the animals.........

Afamosa Trip

I had been thinking of taking my daughter to Afamosa for quite sometime ago since it is quite near to my hometown, Muar. Fortunately we were able to purchase a good package during the MATTA fair at Kuantan. The package includes admission to the Animal World Safari, Cowboy Carnival and Waterworld Theme Park and one night accomodation at the Family Studio. It costs RM 105 per person. We went there last week with my mother and my brother's family.

The conclusion from this trip?
...The animal world safari was okay, though I enjoyed Zoo Melaka and Zoo Negara more.
...The waterworld was the best, we enjoyed it tremendously
...The food was unpalatable and really expensive
...The cowboy carnival was a waste of money, nothing spectacular about it
...The rooms were okay

Thinking of coming back there again? A definite NO, since I did not really enjoy all these man-made entertainment. Though I would like to go back to the waterworld for the sake of my daughter. Looking forward to The Lost World of Tambun for our next trip, insyaAllah.

Turtle Sanctuary Kuantan

Khadijah has to miss her last day on the camp for a visit to Cherating Turtle Sanctuary. I discovered it whilst surfing the net for Rantau Abang's Turple Sanctuary. Apparently, Rantau Abang has been deserted by both the turtle and the tourist due to extensive pollution and disturbance of the turtle by the tourist.
This turtle sanctuary is being managed by the Jabatan Perikanan Malaysia. It was small but very well kept. We can actually camp there at night and the centre will alert us if there are turtles that come up the shore to lay eggs.

Khadijah's Holiday Camp

Khadijah attended "Love the earth" holiday camp organized by her preschool. She enjoyed it tremendously. She met many new friends since none of her classmate attends the camp. I am a bit apprehensive initially at her ability to form new friendship since being an only child she is sometimes a bit selfish. Fortunately I am wrong about it, alhamdullillah.
